About you!

I haven't posted in a while, because I was battling a bad cold. Thank God and the antibiotics that I'm feeling a lot better today.
While in bed I was looking at some old scrapbook pages I made some time ago and wanted to inspire you to make a page about you. Start with a nice picture of you (one you really like!) and you can use just card stock or some of your favorite printed papers. I used my decorative trimmer from Creative Memories to cut different strips of paper into waves. And kind of weaved them into each other. Play around with them till you like how they look. At the bottom of the page I put my whole name and the name my family and friends call me. I used rub-ons for this. And than I used different styles of alphabet rub ons to put different words that kind of describe me a little bit. You could also use sticker letters. Or if you have a nice handwriting, write them yourself.
As embellishments I used sequins, brads and charms. Use this to inspire your own creation. And have fun doing it!

Inspiration

What inspires you to create your beautiful pages and albums? Would love to hear your ideas. I get my inspiration from the pictures I take of my family and friends, but also from: scrapbooking magazines, blogs, ads in magazines, logos, nature.....these are just some of them. Let me know what inspires you to create.....
Right now I'm working on a class for next week; something for Mother's Day. So start collecting some nice quotes and print your pictures! I'll show a sneak peak. But I still need to add pictures and embellishments; but first I have to go out and buy some ink cartridges for my Canon printer.....oh,no! Not again.

Sassy Celebration

On Sunday the Sassy Scrappies celebrated their 1st Anniversary as a group with a lunch at Gostoso Restaurant. Everybody was there!! We had a great time and the food was delicious. At the end Donna & I surprised the ladies with an award; each one got a title. Like.....Sassy Dr.Barbie went to Louise who is looking so nice, after losing and exercising a lot. Great job! Sassy Harley Girl went to Adeline, who loves to ride her bike. Sassy Teen went to Lynn; we love her! Sassy Teacher went to Lianni; who is a wonderful teacher(even when she is on strike). Sassy Student went to Luanne, who is a future teacher. Sassy Lawyer is Marisol; who needs legal advice?? Sassy Bling Bling is Donna; who loves her sparkle. Sassy Perfect is Mireya, who loves to organize her scrap supplies. Sassy Super Star is Miz Lizz; who is a star athlete and star scrapper. Sassy Manager went to Sharla; who soon will be getting her diploma too. And I got the award for Sassy Fabulous, for just celebrating my Fab 50th birthday.
Also welcome to some new scrappers:Ingrid, Helena, Yahaira, Rossel, Nathaly, Vicky, Charline. Ladies welcome to the wonderful world of scrapbooking and fun!

Welcome new friends

I would like to welcome some new friends to the wonderful world of scrapbooking. Tamara thanks for being such a wonderful host. It was so nice to meet you all.
Sassy Scrappies met again this week; this time it was my turn. Se we met at my house. As always we had a great time, while working on a new project. I hope you all liked it.
Sassy ladies, can you believe its already been a year, since we all met for the first time at Donnatella's house on March 12th? We have since done so many things together and had lots of laughs too. You're all great friends and even better scrappers. I really hope we'll celebrate many more years together as friends. For the love of coffee

My favorite part of the day is enjoying a cup of Starbucks cappuccino and chatting with my friend(s). This is life! I scrap lifted this idea from another blog and went looking for pictures I have taken drinking my favorite java. All over!! In Miami, in Mexico, in Orlando, in Tennessee....... Ok, I love to travel too! I also digged up a stamp set I had from Inque boutique, called Chai Latte. They are so adorable..... And here is the result:

Clear album class

Today I had a clear album class. I explained the basic principles and what can and cannot be used on this clear album. I stamped with stazon, used rub ons, wrote with gel pens and sharpie permanent markers. Also embellished with flowers and brads and stickles. Here are pictures of my album. Happy scrappin'.

Hello!
My name is Evy Raven and I am originally from a small island in the Caribbean called Aruba. Known for its beautiful beaches and most of all friendly people. I have been scrapping for about 7 or 8 years (lost track), and love to teach others about this great passion. I lived in Miami for 23 years and that's where I learned about scrap booking. I have taken many classes and love to meet others with the same passion for this hobby. At the moment I'm teaching some scrapbooking classes in Aruba and love what I'm doing. I'm a first grade teacher by profession, but absolutely love to teach others about this great hobby.
