SCRAP PINK-SUCCESS

Were you there or did you miss it?? SCRAP PINK was a total blast! Club San Martin was filled with ladies all dressed in PINK and a lot of their scrap supplies; what a sight!
The make-n-takes a huge success; thanks to the talented ladies who gave their time and effort to prepare a project and share it with others. THANK YOU LADIES!!
Prizes??? OH, my God! Every hour we had like 4/5 raffles, with games; oh, how we laughed! Pink bras, pink panties, tiny purses, pink glasses, nail file... what more could I think off. One of the most memorable moments was Tzigani with her pink ribbon panties!!! Total hit! Did I mention the pink cupcakes and cookies with a cup of coffee from Smit & Dorlas??
And the best part was that we collected 2250 florins to give to the Mary Joan Foundation. WAW! Thanks to all the sponsors for their prizes, we had a lot of lucky winners. Some of them are already enjoying their Hagen Dasz or Cinnabons or dinners at Friday's or Driftwood or treatment at Madeleine's Beauty spa or using their items from Write here or taking a shower with their Nivea products.......Too many to mention. Scrappers, I hope you all had as great a time as I did. It's a day to remember and scrap about. And look out for our Christmas Crop...coming soon!

Mama Chida's Surprise

Hello everybody! It took me awhile, but I'm back. Hope you're still here.....
Last night we celebrated Mama Chida's 70th Birthday, with a nice surprise Tea Party. Hats and all! It was a total surprise for Mama Chida; who arrived with Liana & Kathy, ready with her papers to cover a cigar box. Next time, Mama Chida! Happy 70th!! A lot of more jokes, smiles, dances, good health and scrapping (off course!) We had a blast!!! Lou & Ade prepared a small project. They downloaded and printed a picture of everybody and they decorated a little teapot with a magnet, to display on the refrigerator. Ade gave her Mom a new scrapbook bag and we all contributed to a teapot album (made by Lou & Ade). It came out soooo beautiful! Now the ANG-scrap group has to make one too, to put the pictures of this party in it. We even had champagne and lots of wine.....Where was the tea?????;) At the end the music started and we danced. What a night. Ladies, as always,we had a wonderful time together.
Mama Chida, many more! Cheers!

Self portrait challenge

Lately I've been intrigued by taking self portraits. In the side mirror of my car, my reflection in a mirror, my foot......this is a lot of fun! Take out your camera and play around taking all kinds of funny pictures of yourself. Close-ups of body parts maybe. You let me know. I'll post some of mine too. And then we can make a project together with all our funny pictures. Something different. I have been scrapping a lot lately; some new ideas. I'll post more about these later. Just remember to have fun!

Bandanna Night

I recently hosted a Bandanna Scrap Night for two of my scrap groups. I bought bandanna's for everybody and they put them on. The idea was to make your own "bandanna" printed paper. I bought watercolor paper and got everybody some coasters. They could use any kind of ink: Distress ink pads, walnut ink tintz, Tsukineko antiquing solutions, ecoline ( I don't know what's it called in English). Experiment with different kind of inks; you will get different effects. After you color your paper, glue your paper on the coasters (both sides). And than the fun starts: choose from your stash of stamps: swirls, doodles, paisley etc. and stamp on your painted coasters using a black ink pad. I used black Stazon. After stamping, decorate with a white gel pen. Soooo cool! They all had a different pattern or design, but they all looked very nice. We all had a lot of fun! Bandanna print is one of the hot trends for scrapbooking in 2008.

A special Surprise

Last night the Sassy Scrappies met again at my house for a crop night. As a surprise they all received a bandanna, that they had to wear. It was part of the class (I'll post more about that class another day). The highlight of the crop was a surprise by Miz Lizz; who made a special gift for all, in honor of National Scrapbooking Day. It was a cigar box, beautifully decorated with a picture of each person inside their box. Very special! The box was covered in a beautiful paper and decorated with a lot of flowers (oh, no!) and lots of bling. Lizz, that was really a great surprise! Thank You!!! It was a successful night; lots of laughs, cute project, and great friends sharing the passion of their favorite hobby: scrapbooking!
Happy Mother's Day to all! I wish you all a very special day......

Picture wallhanging

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but I've been kind of lazy....... Last night the Sassy Scrappies met at my house and I had a small project for them: a chipboard wall hanging. You need: 4 Pieces of chipboard (5x7), 4 pieces of printed paper, 4- 4x6 pictures, chipboard alphabets, rub ons, stamp- alphabets, and your favorite embellishments. That's it! I made mine with some self-portraits I took on my cars side mirror. I used some all dressed up papers and the letters are chipboard letters (art), letters cut from my cricut (create & joy) and the word "be" is stamped on and "blinged" with diamond stickles. I used some flowers, rub ons and bling to decorate. I'll show you the results from my scrappies too. Thanks to my Sassy's: Louise, Adeline, Sharla & Marisol. We all had different topics and theme's, but they all came out very nice!! I'll post their results too. Thank you ladies! I hope this will inspire you all too to create something special this weekend. Happy scrappin'......
